These are almost exactly the same camera as the Lightdow LD4000 cameras that we fly onboard our OLHZN flights. They are slightly upgraded and support up to 64 GB SD cards while still being relatively inexpensive and having great quality video. We use the cameras in “Dashcam mode” so that once power is applied to the camera, it automatically starts recording. This allows us to have the camera mounted ahead of time and just turn on the power to launch. We also set the recording to be a fixed 5 minute video file to ensure if something happens to the camera, we still retain most of the footage.
